Railroad Crossing Repair on Continental Boulevard in Danville Borough, Montour County Next Week

Danville, PA – Motorists who travel Route 54 (Continental Boulevard) in Danville Borough, Montour County, are advised that North Shore Railroad will be making repairs to the crossing on Tuesday, January 12, weather permitting.

Crews will perform the repair work between the hours of 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM. The project includes tightening and welding loose panels and is expected to be completed in just one day.

Motorists should expect lane restrictions and possible delays in travel.

Work on this project will be in accordance with Centers for Disease Control and state Department of Health guidance as well as a project-specific COVID-19 safety plan, which will include protocols for social distancing, use of face coverings, personal and job-site cleaning protocols, management of entries to the jobsite, and relevant training.
